Hug a Grandparent

Today is the day before Delaney turns 9 months. 9 months! To think and compare the 9 months it took for her to grow inside of me to the 9 months outside of me...makes time seem so fickle. A little girl is in the making. She knows when to tear up, she knows when to laugh hysterically, she knows when to fake smile even. She knows. At a day minus 9 months. She brings so much joy to our lives and yet the journey has only begun. This week, Sean's grandfather passed away. A grandfather that had no relationship with his grandchildren. Although he came to the Lord in his final years, the treasures he missed out are sad. Death is always a sad thing to handle. It has made us appreciate our loved ones. Appreciate the relationships and the meaning of family. You sure can't pick your family but sometimes that's a blessing in disguise. I pray you have a solid family that surrounds you with love. I pray that you hug a grandparent. Encourage the relationship with your parent and your child. Love life now. Its but a mere moment in the scheme of things.
