Happy Giving Thanks Day

On the eve, eve of Thanksgiving Sean and I had our socks blessed - right off! Although Sean has only been at Century Wire for just about a month, his boss approached him yesterday and gave him a HUGE unexpected bonus. She said "Here - have some turkey money". We now are able to buy $400 worth of turkeys!! I'm not one to share financial numbers but I just had to, in order to create a mental image on how far our socks...really did go.

(Delaney was enjoying her garden veggies yesterday and the outcome was priceless.)


God is good. He is faithful. He is Gracious. He is merciful. He is mighty. He is loving. Think about the meaning of each word - ponder for a while and then come back to this blog and shake your head in agreement with me. I pray that you get on your knees today, praising and thanking Him for all He has provided.
I am finally learning that out of trials comes sweet joy. Out of difficult circumstances come great perseverance and patience. During moments of loneliness and unknowing, comes amazing love. And I'm quite sure I'll still be learning this in many years to come.

Tomorrow we are off to the Dougherty Family Bash. I have my hair cut and styled....and I LOVE IT! We each have a special Thanksgiving Shirt to wear and I just finished cooking my very first turkey!!! I am oh so impressed with myself. My fatherinlaw will be joining in on feeding the homeless tonight with my first labor of turkey love. :0)
